General Information
Description of ServiceCustomer Assistance & Referral Evaluation Services (CARES)provides assistance on a short-term basis to payment-troubled residential Met-Ed customers. Based upon the circumstances, company CARES representatives make referrals to social agencies and provide information on appropriate company and/or external programs.

Client Information
EligibilityCARES is open to:
Any customer 60 years of age or over
A handicapped or disabled person
A seriously ill person
A family with a seriously ill family member who resides in the household.
 
Availability
Hours of Operation Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, 800 numbers operate 24 hrs/7 days a week, and voicemessaging.
